The RBS Conference Centre is located at Gogarburn between Edinburgh airport and Edinburgh city centre. There is easy access by bus and tram. Note: It is 2 stops from the airport to Gogarburn and 9 stops from Haymarket train station to Gogarburn.

The 47th Money, Macro and Finance Research Group Annual Conference: 9th - 11th September 2015

cardiff 1Together with colleagues at the University of York and the Bank of England, the Money Macro and Finance group, MMF, are organising another annual workshop for UK-based PhD economists in the broad fields of money, macro and finance, following the success of the inaugural conference at Warwick last year. .


Call for papers

The 47th Money, Macro and Finance Research Group Annual Conference will be held in Cardiff University, UK, on 9-11th September 2015. The program committee invites submissions from academic, government and business economists in any area of monetary, macro and financial economics. We also encourage and welcome PhD students to contribute to our PhD student sessions.

Selected papers will appear in the conference supplement of the Manchester School.

Interested authors are advised to submit their unpublished manuscripts via the Conference Maker system by 15th May 2015, with the link provided in the conference website at:

Special Trading Room Sessions

The Trading Room is an important facility that is heavily used by both academics and PhD students for teaching and research at the Cardiff Business School. In this year, we will arrange for flexible drop-in sessions during the whole conference for visitors to gain hands-on experience in the Trading Room at Cardiff and its associated facilities (such as Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters Eikon) that may be used for teaching and research in practice. There will also be a special session of 'Financial Market Trading and Behavioral Finance using the Trading Room'.
